What Performance Rights Society do you think is better? ASCAP or BMI?

Hello all we are back to start rockin' the blues again. Presently we are a three piece group and are working on new material. Hopefully we can get in the studio to record it in the next few months...

I enjoy ASCAP so far...I don't know too much about BMI...and upon researching both, I still found little info about BMI so I opted for the PRO with the right benefits, ASCAP.

Thanks for the comments Miklekri,
I studied the comments made here by experienced people on the subject,such as Billy Arr "The Word Weaver". I ended up choosing ASCAP. Reading all of this helped me tremendously. Thanks to all who have commented thus far!

---Due to the fact that I am not a resident of the U.S. I had to choose the filling of doc**ents to be sent by mail. And that ASCAP had better understood and less paper.

I have long compared two companies on the internet and found no difference. Although ASCAP chose, because I liked the system and more as a proposal to filling doc**entation. (sorry for my bad english)))

I do know of the Horror stories of ASCAP back in the day. But these days I'm not sure who's looking out for your best interest.-Peace-Bish

Ref: Dan Goodman comment. Dan, BMI is NOT a publisher. You cannot "Publish" your music thru them. They WILL collect royalties for you as a writer for a publishing company , or collect royalties for your publishing company, but they are a performance rights organization, NOT a publisher. There's a big difference between the two. Billy Arr

ASCAP was there for me when I had nothing they are AMAZING and truly care. BMI may be great as well but I will always be loyal to ASCAP
