At the young age of 7 she made her first debut on stage at the infamous Alhambra Park in California. After moving to live with her father in Oklahoma as a young teen, she began singing in the church, songwriting and taking chorus cla****. Soon after high school, she entered the military and in her spare time performed in local clubs in Europe. Further engrossed and in love with music, she relocated back to California, attended Compton College, enrolled in music, piano and acting cla**** and received an Associates of Arts degree.

Born in Chicago, raised in California, it was here that she developed her musical tastes and interests in adolescence. She was inspired and began a love for music by her mother who exposed her to a wealth of music as a child, all of which influenced her musical behavior. She would hear her singing mother and notice how it lifted her spirits. She recognized and associated music with healing, strength and happiness and determined that music would be her life.
