Bio - skills, instruments played, experience, goals
I have many varied interests in music and art. I am a vocalist, mostly the standards and some jazz. I also like to sing the oldies when I sit in with 50s groups. I have worked with many big band artists, and sung with Freddie Eckstine, the son of the great Billy Eckstine in Las Vegas. I don't play enough keyboard to back myself, however, I do write songs and can put basic chords with my melodies. I love to hear talented performers, and I ran my own singalong show open-mic for many years. I have had many artists come to my show and perform, such as Tops in Blue, Ronnie McDowell, the fellow that played Elvis The Early Years for T. V., etc.
I hope to keep working in the Savannah area since my hubby and I moved here in 2007.
Influences & Preferred Genres
My influences have been all the great jazz ladies from the 40s, Julie London, Diana Krall, Irene Kral, and many other blues artists.
