The Beginning:A stage career as a soloist by age three at Fellowship Baptist Church under The Rev. Clay Evans led to an opportunity to share the stage with the wonderful Ms. Patti LaBelle by age twelve at Chicago's Gospel Jubilee. "It was something else. . .I never had stage fright before that night and Patti's words of wisdom took it all way when she said. . .'baby don't worry about the audience, just do you. . .now SANG boy'. . . Since then I've never looked back."
Major Influences: Maxwell Street was Moe's second home growing up. Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lazy Lester. The son of a long time Disc Jockey he'd heard every smokin' song ever recorded and he expanded his repertoire to include Funk, Soul, R&B and Jazz in addition to Chicago Blues & Gospel. Vocalists who had an impact on Moe's style and delivery are Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, ZZ Hill, Johnny Taylor, James Carr, George Clinton, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye,The Reverend James Cleaveland, et al.

The Big Moe Sho' to cite a few. Moe has worked with some of the best artists in the biz including BB King, SR Vaughn, Dr. Hook, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, Slidin' Clyde Roulette, Overton Berry & others.
Currently collaborating for touring with 60's West Coast Promoter Boyd Grafmyre as creative advisor. Grammy Award Winning Producer & Engineer Jim Gardiner of Touchtone Productions/Pajama Studios, Oakland, CA. for recent and upcoming recordings and film productions.

currently featured in it's instrumental version here, is now broadcast in 7 demographics. At Morgan Freeman's Station WABG Mississippi, DJ James Poe proclaims "This song is a hit here in the Delta and has been requested from audiences around the world. . .phenomenal".
